Supehero mouse goes out in a blaze of glory. Flame on!

A local talk show host mentioned this story and give the mental picture of the mouse running back into the house with his tail lit like a sparkler. LOL

I read this story this morning in the newspaper, and couldn't help but cheer for the mouse.
No, I'm no PETA guy, and am a huge fan of out-size portions of red meat, but throwing something alive into a fire is something I couldn't do. Kill it first, then dispose.

We have a FReeper that told of a similar story, about building a cabin that had a wood stove, they lit a fire and the flaming rodent comes zipping out, hope he reads the story and retells his, it was hilarious.

"but throwing something alive into a fire is something I couldn't do"
Yeah, that was lame.

Look for the new Hollywood movie, but instead of a mouse, it's white, American, male, heterosexual, Neo-Nazis burning down the house.

"Ahh, the poor mouse is quickly forgotten".
That's not true. The mouse's name was No.

Of course, when one misreads the title as:
Moose Thrown Into Fire Sets Home Ablaze
One gets a very different picture
(Is it possible to toss a moose?)

I am skeptical. Animal hairs as short as a mouses would burn off in seconds and would tend to smolder more than flame. I am smelling a rat here. The only one who witnessed this is the homeowner who is collecting the insurance.

Yes, if your name is Paul Bunyan and you have a blue ox named Babe. Why would anyone want to toss a moose?
