West Virginia doesn't even have a football team, so if the Dawgs win, it will be shameful. And if the Dawgs lose it will be doubly shameful
In the mean time, as a harbinger of colors from the forgotten bowl:
Carolina 44
Atlanta 11
Let's see ... #8 and #11 are playing. Seems a bit more potential there in the transplanted Sugar Bowl (been around about 70 years) than when # 20/21 Michigan got snuffed by HA! unranked Nebraska in the 13th annual Alamo??? Bowl, a rather obscure "bowl" invented so that lackluster "Big" Ten teams could have a place to lose yet another game to a non-"Big" Ten team.
While ESPN brags that Michigan's dismal showing against Nebraska was the most watched college game ever on ESPN, that's not saying much. In fact, attendance at the game was only the 5th best in that minor bowl's brief history.
But I suppose that when one is trying to recover from such a bitter (but entirely predictable) defeat, one snatches any favorable comment from the airwaves, no matter how insignificant. :>)
