Thats great gran. Is it a laptop ?

Odd thing, I haven't be able to see any of your posted photos since you've been in FL. I can see everybody's but yours. I don't even get that hideous ... X... just your captions above or below the photo.

Dangerous contraband? Does that include expresso, tar, and/or alkehol?

Starbucks makes a liquore now, you know.

Actually, no.
It contains caffiene tars and coffee sludge.
It is thick and heavy stuff that is horrific to the stomach.

Caffeine tars and coffee sludge? How are those substances obtained, I hate to ask?

Horrific to the stomach? Sounds yummy! LOL!

Here's one way to obtain them.

In 12 cup drip percolator pot, fill to 6 cup mark with water.
In filter, put 6 heaping scoops of coffee.
Medium roast works best, just make sure it's a robust blend.
Found a maxwellhouse 'medium roast' that was rather anemic.
Put pinch of salt in filter, about as much as it would take to cover the surface of a dime with one even layer.
This keeps the coffee from tasting burned too quickly, it doesn't age well brewed this way.

Brew, recirculate if need be, usually not.
Add sugar and dairy creamer.
Creamora and coffeemate are not recommended unless you like the heart racing that Ranger Pudding gives.
That, and the nondairy creamer will give you both a headache and a buzz with the coffee.

I usually put about 8 spoons of sugar in this stuff, it ends up being like Russian Kava, thick and sweet with that bitter overtone to it.

Oh, and I am NOT responsible for seeming demonic possession of the coffeepot, or the coffeepot ending up acting as if it has been damaged.

Be sure NOT to add creamora or coffeemate to the brew, unless you LIKE ranger pudding style heart racing.
When I brew that stuff for myself, I recirculate the stuff to brew a second time, but that's me for my own personal enjoyment, and it may wreck the coffeepot.
Don't forget the salt, it's important to the finished brew.

Ranger pudding: Mix instant cocoa mix, instant coffee, and non-dairy creamer with water until you have a pudding like substance.
Eat, but don't puke as it tastes nasty.

Then watch your heart rate shoot up.

The stuff is pretty horrible.
I learned the fine art of not heaving my guts up while eating the stuff when I was in uniform.
However, do NOT use gatorade flavor mix packets.
That will definitely give you a case of the runs with the ranger pudding.
IF they are still made, they are best used in canteens...

Did you actually eat Ranger pudding?

Gatorade is still recommended for kids instead of water when they get sick to replace electrolytes.

You poor guys!!

Yes, I actually ate the ranger pudding.
Good way to stay awake.

I dunno if the Gatorade flavors packets are still made.
Looked a bit like the Kool Aide paper packet mixes, but probably better for you.
Just not in Ranger Pudding.

I always wondered how soldiers stayed awake for so long and how they could cope. I just have so much respect and awe for you guys!

Coffee, paranioa (The good kind), peanut butter packets, somach acid, and lots of sugar.
That's how they stay awake for long periods of time.

With all appropriate disclaimers for my phantomworker fanclub who chronicle my every post, I always liked this song by Destiny's Child:

Hi there, Darlin. Are you still holding up, or are you getting worn out with all your frivolity, lol?

Not a laptop...it's a PC. An AMD/dual processor with lots of guts. I love it!

I don't think I've ever heard about your condition with the pics I post. Usually you at least get a red X. How very strange. Have you ever asked anyone about it?

I've been out of uniform for awhile now.
Kinda jealous of those still in, though.
And oddly proud of them.
Hard to explain.

Hi there, Resty. How are you doing on yours, is it all set now and the bugs all worked out?

I can't believe how fast this one responds. It is simply wonderful...so how can I ever leave it in FL...and go home to face an old one again..lol? It's not easy living in two places, but when you retire, that's what sometimes happens. :(

There is a lot of respect for guys who either wore a uniform in the past or who wear one today.

You can always be proud, no matter what.

Its been a very bsuy season, much fun but busy. LOL. In fact, I'm loving having a leisure day today sorta catching my breath, napping, thumbing through a stack of magazines and wishing I could get out of going to a "function" this evening.

How was your Christmas ? Santa good to ya ? LOL

I'm glad to hear your kickin new 'puter is a PC, I can't stand laptops except for checking mail on vacation. LOL.

Dunno why I'm having a problem seeing your photos.... that kinda of stuff is beyond me. LOL and I don't think that its a bad thing. LOL
