Thank you for taking care of that, restornu. No attitude intended, and I'm sorry you took it that way... we lose a LOT of bandwith to hotlinking, so you just got my little standard "cut-and-paste" complaint. You are MORE than welcome to use any of our pictures, just don't hog our bandwith =0)

Never give up on a computer. Take the hard drive from the non-working computer and set the jumper(s) on it to make it a slave and then install this on your working computer so you now have two hard drives. You can now retrieve lost pictures and other files even if you never get this drive to work right on your old computer. (There are exceptions, of course, but I've found this to be a rarity).

Now, run a system scan on your whole computer. This just might fix what was amiss on your old hard drive. Put your old hard drive back into the non-working computer after setting its jumper(s) back to make it a master drive again and you just might discover that you have resurrected your old computer. If you don't know how to do this, ask a nephew or some other young person. I've brought a number of non-bootable computers back to life by doing this.

P.S. While you have the two drives hooked together, run a virus scan and any other maintenance programs you might have on your working computer. Good luck.
