That's in my backyard!!! Where do you get all these nice pictures!!!! Westy!!!
And how do you like this weather lately? It's not that it's raining all the time, but that it's heavier rain than usual. And the forecast is rain all next week?
Looks like most of us survived the first day of the new week
Think I'm off to bed..Goodnight all have good ones..
.....Westy.....
Now here's a typical Washington gray.
Good night, Westy!
*ahem* I have a basement...
So I've heard.
Storm has settled down. Guess I won't have to sleep on the couch after all. Night. Sweet dreams. I'll be looking for coffee in the morning.
That is quite errie scene Westy!
Wow that looks so dreamy. You've inspired me to visit Washington State. :)
Pssssst, from the things I've heard about Nullys' basement, you'd be better off facing the storm. LOL. Just teasing, Nully.
I wonder what's heading my way. It's simply balmy this morning. I've been outside wandering around my storm blasted yard, wondering what to do next. My goodness it's still a mess. I lost so many trees...
Where is everybody this morning? Think I'll check out the weather channel, see what's happening.
Looks as if our weather will be good until later this afternoon. Think I'll go browse garden sites. I'll check in later.
Here!
Yea! Hi there Nully. I got caught up out there reading about Iraq/Iran and stuff. :)
Nuke 'em 'til they glow then shoot 'em in the dark...
LOL.
I've ambled over to some gardening websites I've googled up. :) Reading a bit about bamboo since most of mine is toast from the storms.
It's pretty hard to kill bamboo. Yours may look toasted now, but I bet it will be flourishing next year.
I certainly hope so. It's dismal now. Most of it was blown over from the roots, so some could be replanted but most of that didn't do well. Alot of it was simply destroyed. High winds, tall young bamboo in unprotected areas, not a good mix. We had alot of straight line winds. Snapped pine tress in half, uprooted hundred year old oaks. My pecan trees are mostly finished.
One thing about it, it's given me a brand new landscape to deal with. ALOT of sunny areas now. LOL.
It's hard to tell which was the greatest loss, but would have to say losing the Oaks has had the biggest impact. Massive ground cover plantings underneath the oaks is finished.
I've truly got to start over and don't know what to do.
Nully, you know anything about Sago Palms? I'm trying to find out why my fronds are so brown. I'm afraid of losing these, they look bad.
*shrug* I've got a brown thumb. I even killed an air fern once. Bamboo has survived me, though...
Obviously I have a brown thumb too. Oh Dear. I've been reading about Sagos. Not good what I am seeing. Scooted outside to observe and compare photos. LOL. I need help. I've got to get some manpower in here and get some things prepped. Not much left after cleanup ops. However, it is cleared off now and debri is gone. Whew. Got one stump left, I see. Wonder why that happened?
