I take it neither of you are Shakespeare scholars. You must have both fallen asleep during the part where Romeo and Juliet are secretly married by Friar Laurence.

No, and I am not. But their passion was still illicit, even if they were married, and yes, I missed that scene (was that done before of after intercourse?). It was not to be tolerated. It was beyond the pale.

You're right! They were secretly married (I should've Googled first). So much for my pithy synopsis!

I am certainly not a Shakespeare scholar, but more so I really can only take so much sappy romance (just about none). I was forcibly coerced into seeing Romeo & Juliet and was rather surly about it!

Maybe if they tackled one another and threw some punches during the secret wedding I would've noticed. :)
