That picture is so poignant. Thank you for posting that. I have seen my dogs grieve for a lost member of the family. I think they do know what has happened and they experience a loss, too. Some dogs have grieved for their own loss and some have appeared to feel they must feel in the gap I'm feeling.

You know the stages of grief. You know not to fight it but to acknowledge it and take some time for yourself. I am especially praying for your mother and your relationship with her right now.

Yes, true. One cannot ignore grief, go around it or over it. You must go THRU it. to do otherwise is quite unhealthy in every way. Toby is a sweet pup. Another throw away. I don't know how people can do that, I truly dont

Mom & I are doing quite well, she is able to focus on something different, although sad. . She really is hurting over O also. He would hop in her bed, keep her warm, lick her voraciously.
