I will run out of dishes before the spring thaw.

No pets here to do the dishes. Even the wild cat has departed.

I am going to try to stay awake until 8:00 pm, then give in to my need for sleep.

The dishes can wait.

What an absolutely putrid legacy Klintoon has left this country.

I am going to leave them right there in the sink until morning. I don't think I have the strength to move them now.

I am tired, too. This afternoon, I mucked out 6 stalls, blew the straw out of the main aisle of the barn, measured out feed for 12 horses for evening and morning, brought up from the paddock 3 or maybe 4 horses and emptied and refilled 14 5-gallon water buckets.

And I volunteer for this!

As much as I would love to stay here... I can't.

I used reverse psychology ( never could spell that)...on my mil....today....Couple more days...she won't want to come close to me...I had her stick to me like glue...today. In fact I bundled her up to watch me shovel the deck...mere minutes....

I'm tired...too....

It wasn't good last night....She pushed G over the top...not physically but mentally. Pushed him...and pushed him more...so....reverse psychology today and tomorrow and as long as it takes....I'll intrude on her like she does us.

45/22 Sounds like fun.

Funny story... After my father got out of the Air Corps, he was asked to be best man for a good friend's wedding. (Judge Jack Jackels, Green Bay, WI) Both my father and Jack were pilots in the Pacific. Jack served out of Tinian flying B-29's. Dad flew B-29's out of Guam.

They were also law school buddies at Marquette University.

Anyway Jack's bride to be was nervous because her old boyfriend threatened to come into the Catholic church where the wedding was taking place, and disrupt the wedding. Dad told Jack things would be alright.

The day of the wedding came and the groom was still very nervous about this guy wreaking havoc on the wedding. My father turned to Jack and said, "I've got everything under control." With that he opened up his tux tcoat and showed Jack his holstered service.45 underneath the tux jacket. Jack turned three shades of white. They talked about that for years.

What made it more remarkable was that both dad and Jack were very devout Catholics, so it makes the story even more amusing.

Dad had that .45 for years. My brother and I would take it to the local dump and shoot rats. We once used some service bullets that turned out to be tracers. It surprised the hell out of us!

Mozie...

Had a terrific time at the game on Sunday.

Samkon Gado was amazing to watch. As soon as he turned that corner on the 65 yard run you could see the whole lane open up.

We were in Sec. 121 row 54, right on the 45 yard line.

We stayed to the end of the game. What a blast.
