Good evening! I arrive here later than expected because DIL was hung up in traffic, and when I got home my daughter and SIL were here for supper.

I served tham a wonderful vegetarian minestrone which always conservative gave me the recipe for, and it was a big hit! It made a LOT of soup, however, so I sent the rest home with them. My daughter is working on a large paper this weekend so I was able to give her a meal she could heat up, as well as feeding them tonight! Thanks, alwaysconservative!!

It is sure cold here (13 degrees right now). The radio said we would have a white Christmas, because the 7.7 inches of snow we have on the ground won't melt off before December 25.

I was just wondering if once on the ground, the snow would stick around for a period of weeks or months. Or, did it melt in a week and then you would have a period of slush and then more snow. I used to live in Pennsylvannia, in fact I was born in Troy, New York, but since I moved from there in 1962, I have forgotten those details.

You are most welcome! I'm so glad the soup worked out. Yes, it does make a huge batch, but my hubby loves it so much as an easy leftover he can just microwave (he even prefers the blend of flavors the second or third day to the first), the batch size is usually not a problem.
