AMERICA - The Right Way (Day 1782) [Remember the Trade Center!!]
Various News Sources and FReepers | December 7, 2005 | All of Us

Posted on 12/07/2005 6:11:39 PM PST by Chairman_December_19th_Society

We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail!

Good morning!!

Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor teh brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!

WINTER STORM WATCH FOR THE NATIONAL CAPITAL REGION, VIRGINIA BLUE RIDGE AND APPALACHIAN MAIN SPINE, ALL OF WEST VIRGINIA, PENNSYLVANIA AND NEW JERSEY, THE SOUTHERN TEIR OF NEW YORK INCLUDING WESTCHESTER, PUTNUM, ORANGE, AND ROCKLAND COUNTIES AS WELL AS NEW YORK CITY AND LONG ISLAND, ALL OF CONNECTICUT AND THE EASTERN HALF OF OHIO

Storm Track [NEW FEATURE]:

Discussion:

A weak mid-level LP system over the Ohio valley will move NEward over the next 24 hours and light off lake effect snows. This same system will cause cyclogenesis of a low=level LP system off of C. Hatteras--the breeding ground for nor'easters.

This system is expected to undergo explosive deepening and likely bomb out as it proceeds northeastward toward the open waters off New England.

That said, it is likely to be a fast mover, which will keep down snowfall. Unfortunately, dendrectic effects (moist air hitting blasts of cold causing precipitive fallout) are likely to be significant, and the rapidly decreaing pressure gradient will also contribute by forcing banding. The latter effect makes snowfall estimates difficult, but there is a 0.7" column of precipitable water available to the system. Some compensation needs to be given for the warm ground, so a meltdown ratio of 8:1 will be used. Total expected drop in northern Virginia near the Capital is 6 inches--check the bathrooms, you need three rolls.

In the news...

Well, as he threatened, Saddam didn't show up for his trial today. The trial went on anyway, at least for awhile. The judge has ordered a continuence until after Parliamentary elections in a week.

For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.

Weblog Awards Update
From DoctorZIn | 12/07/2005 10:33:07 PM EST read

We have gone from 5th place to 2nd!!!!

We are making headway, but need to keep voting every 24 hours to close the gap.

The benefit of winning is that many more people will become aware of our work on Iran and this includes opinion makers and pundits.

If you have a ping list and can ping our thread asking them to help, it would be greatly appreciated.

Freepers will make the difference.

Don't forget to vote here!

Good morning, All! D.C., I WAS going to ride my bike to the bus this am, BUT other factors are forcing me to drive, and believe it or not, it's not the -1 degree out there.

Wow....I was accidentally watching ABC news last night. And they had a pro-Iraq seqment. The news clip was on the revitalization of the Iraq economy. There was also a pro-Afghanistan seqment. What's going on???

the temperature would definitely be a deterrent to me!

I don't like to bike when the temps are below 40 & don't like to bike in excessive heat etiher. I have a friend in Oklahoma who has been wanting me to to the "hotter than h&ll" ride in Texas one year. It is a century in August. That just doesn't appeal to me! would be an interesting challenge I guess..

Very interestng! Could be that the implosion of howard dean and sKerry has them going to desparate measures, such as showing one little blip of progress in Iraq and Afghanistan, to try to put some distance between the MSM and the LOSERS of WAR.

Good morning! 100% chance of snow today, starting around 1:00 PM and continuing through tomorrow morning. As long as we are going to have this cold weather, I like having the snow.

Well, D.C., I only ride when it's below 50 out of my hating to drive so much because of the stress. I do not ride for recreation in the winter at all. It's only a means of transportation that gets me where I have to go with the least amount of stress for the entire commute.

I love HOT, DRY weather riding. The most operative word, being 'dry'. The hotter, the better, because the warm, dry breeze keeps me very comfortable. Oh, I miss summer so much.

Good morning. Heavy rain and winds expected today around here.

An e-mail shows that Governor Blanco of Louisianna was asleep at 1:30 in the afternoon when FEMA urgently needed to speak with her. And no one woke her up.

Airport security held an Egyptian man for five days who had shoes exactly like the shoe bomber's shoes and whose shoes tested positive for explosives. He was ultimately released and the FBI is looking for him, all of which might explain why Air Marshalls were already on the look out for trouble.

Yes, Rav, while I was taking a shower, I realized that I had left out my thought that they are FORCED to respond in some way to the President's, as Bill Bennett so appropriately says, "going on offense."

>>He was ultimately released and the FBI is looking for him

Why did they release him? So the FBI could look for him?

This is why the Air Marshalls reacted the way they did in FLA yesterday.

FEDS looking for a shoe bomber...

FNC just talked about the fellow airline security released. If the FBI is looking for him, I'm assuming he was released prematurely.
