AMERICA - The Right Way!! (Day 1774) [Remember the Trade Center!!]
Various News Sources and FReepers | November 29, 2005 | All of Us

Posted on 11/29/2005 6:41:21 PM PST by Chairman_December_19th_Society

We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail!

Good evening!!

Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!

Up went the spurce tree in front of the Capitol, adorned with 10,000 lights and 5,000 ornaments, and 1 controversy.

Well, it shouldn't be a controversy, but the left is already having a cow.

The controversy, at least from the viewpoint of the whacky left? The Speaker insists that it be called what it is--the Capitol Christmas Tree, rather than the Capitol Holiday tree.

Hastert said simply: I strongly urge that we return to this tradition and join the White House, countless other public institutions and millions of American families in celebrating the holiday season with a Christmas tree.

Yes.

It is high time that Americans who are Christians stop lurking in the shadows. We are here, this is our land as much as it is anyone elses, and we have the right to display the symbols of our religion if it pleases us.

Let's be clear here, we are NOT denying others the right to display their relgious symbols--have at Jews, Muslums, Budhists, whatever. This land is great because that is precisely what can be done. The public square is open to all. It is time that Christians demand that the respect, over-respect actually, being shown to other religions be also given to ours.

Thank you, Mr. Speaker, for opening the door, if even just a little crack, to a common sense religious approach in the town square.

God bless you and the United States of America.

For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.

I was glad to see Speaker Hastert's comments on the Capitol Christmas Tree. Good for him!

Some guest on Hannity and Colmes last night said "Christmas is for everyone." LOL.

I missed who he is - was just walking through the room between putting kids to bed - but what a retard. Everyone is welcome, of course, but some folks will have to change their minds about how you get to heaven (i.e. blowing up yourself and some Jews won't do it).

I was listening to Sean today interviewing a Rabbi, and the Rabbi said this is an issue of FREE SPEACH!
I was watching a Christmas in New York on the Food Network tonight, and though how ironic it was that New York makes such a big to do about Christmas.

Howdy. Thanks again for starting the thread.

I'm trying to adjust to you being here in the evenings.... and as I do... I think about what exactly you do for us, and how it has affected your life.... Thanks. From the bottom of my heart.

Good evening, thank you for the thread, and HEAR HEAR for Speaker Hastert's defense of the Christmas tree!

I've changed my tagline. This year we even put "Merry Christmas" on the gifts cards that are enclosed with the candy gifts we give to our customers. We are both sick of Happy Holidays!

W.---- Yes, I pretty much knew what it was from Larry's repair job in the early 80's. That is what I did my patch job on the glass tube that holds the defrosting element. I don't believe I could even get a new part since I know this refer is at least 41 years old.

The thing is...it still looks brand new and until yesterday, did a good job.

I am just glad I have it up and running until I can check out Sears, our local appliance stores, etc for a good buy on sale.

I was afraid I would have to drive into Tillamook and buy one today! It is very stormy out here. Now, at least I can give myself a couple of days to research prices.

And the left opposes this, because....

And they complain about Republicans stealing Christianity?

Sleep well, Bev.

I'm calling it a night myself.

God bless us all. Each, and every one.

I heard that Hastert and others are returning to the fine old tradition of calling the tree what it is - a Christmas tree.

Is the left really having a cow? I've missed a lot of news today and hope they are going ballistic because that will not play well to the public.

Good Evening, Mr. Chairman...Good Evening, All!

Good news about the Capitol Christmas Tree!

This evening, after working with Da Kid on his homework (Had an informal Parent-Teacher Confab this morning, he has been doggin it...again!), once you get his nose to the grindstone, he sharpens real good, I got at my shop in the furnace room. I spent the Thanksgiving weekend cleaning it. I am plumbing it for dust collection using 4" furnace pipe instead of the flexible 4" plastic. The turbulance that the plastic has causes too much flow constriction. I started just to do the preliminary work and by the time I finished, I had most of it done. I need to add another couple of ports and then I will be ready to do some serious turning and woodworking.

Sorry to bore you all with my woodworking, but it is nice to get back at it. Da Kid and I brought the Delta Unisaw (table saw) and the shaper down from the Lovettsvile storage facility. I made an adaptor that converts the 220 from the dryer outlet to 220 for the saw. As soon as I get the top derusted, I am going to hook it up and make an altar cross for our new church. We have our first service as a mission church this Sunday!

Good evening. Thanks for getting us started every day.

The 2000 election really scared the First lady and me. We witnessed first hand an attempt to steal power. Coup de tat so to speak.

Well, if this nation (that was founded on Christian principles) wants to deny 85% of the population a religious holiday, then I say let's get it on. Bring it through the court system, along with the Pledge, God on the currency, opening prayers at scotus (lower case until they earn it), congress, etc.. If the three branches of government decide that Christmas is offensive, then strike it as a holiday. Along with MLK day. Makes sense to michael newdow.

Methinks this PC crap has gotten out of hand. Dividing a public already polarized by a war of survival. I pray that we don't ever experience CWII. It would make CWI look like a walk in the park on a warm spring day.

A quick wave to all from the ms Westerdam. I am having a fabulous cruise and vacation. I think they are going to have to pry my fingers from the railings upon disembarkation. :)

I haven't been following the news much, we get a condensed NY Times version of the news daily. Blech. I've really been out of touch.

And I am an aunt again. Little baby boy born Tuesday, Nov 22. 7 pounds 1 ounce, 20 inches long. No name yet...

Talk to you all later. :)
