I got one of them electrical crock pot, but have never used it because it uses too much electricity, while the gas is already paid for. They don't call me Mr. Cheapola for nothin'.
If you are in an apartment where the gas is paid, that makes sense.
The advantage of the crock pot is you can throw a beef stew together, put it on low and can come home to eat right away.
You can't come home and have dinner ready with gas.
