Me too. Be right back.
I have returned from the IQ test website. I scored a paltry 118 on the first test. I can't do the spatial figures to save my life!
I did four of them so my "combined" IQ is 127...however, when I was 14, it was 147....I know it has increased (as does everyone's) with age, but I'm like you, Alice...I can't do the spatial stuff.
And, of course, this is a day when I have gray lint for brains, so I'll have to take it some day when I'm in remission. Maybe I can actually score!
So. My query is this: What has this stuff got to do with how SMART a person is?
FWIW, when I first took it, I more than qualified for entry. As an ex-Mensa member, this did not surprise me. What did surprise me was re-taking said test here yesterday and coming up with a 118 score.
Kind of also why I'm freaking out a bit. I've ALWAYS done well on these tests. If I've lost that, then something major, and possibly very bad, has happened to DC's gray matter.
Absolutely nothing.
As far as I can tell, IQ scoring is useful for placing children in the appropriate classes. Beyond that, unless someone is a bona fide genius, it's meaningless.
After a while, time and experience tends to level the playing field.
Believe me, Sweetie. I understand that completely. I have lost a lot of what made me who I am, including any potential I had of being who I wanted to be and doing what I wanted to do.
I often mourn that person, but only very rarely do I catch a glimpse of her now. I can only hope that whatever has your brain in chains will release it soon. It could be as simple as too much stress.
I'll burn some incense for you. (And say a few prayers, as well!) :o]
Yeah, but we're kind of fixated on your brawn, right now. *wink wink*
Could you just be tired? I mean, just because you're tiring your muscles doesn't mean that you're not also straining the brain.
*a brief pause while Alice fans herself*
I just goggle at the thought of you straining under any set of circumstances......*frantic fanning of self*
Yah. That's what I thought. If I had to live in a world where my life depended on figuring out the spatial things, I'd be a blithering idiot.
However, in the school of life, I'd say my IQ is pretty close to 200.
Very true, on all counts.
Now, I'm feeling like a moron.
I'll go back and take the other tests later and see what my cumulative score is.
Nearly time to do the ballet and swimming runs.
Anything prurient, before I go? (I'll be back later this evening, earlier than usual.)
You have a point there....
Yes. Scary, ain't it?
I'll catch you later. Have to transport the kids to various activities.
Ciao!
Be back later this evening, but earlier than usual, as the hubby is picking up the kids from practice for me. Yippee! Uninterrupted shower time for Alice!
Ciao bella!
LOL, thanks!
Hmm... yes.
Then my semi-earned title of "Twisted Innocent" is quite appropriate.
LOL, Bear was lucky he knew how to breathe.
But if he did write something, that would be it.
"500 posts over night?
Why do I feel like I missed something?"
Maybe we have been "discovered" ??
"I wonder if SJB is blushing yet."
Nope..........still holding out.
