I'd prefer two syllables... one might confuse her if she hears it in normal conversation, two together are a lot harder to say unintentionally.

What about Chandra? That means "moon"; I assume the Thais picked it up from India, along with Buddhism. Or Surya (sun) or Usha (dawn).

We had a dog named Jocko, and he was about a year old when the wine named "Jocobazzi" (or some such) was popular. At the end of every commercial, someone would almost whisper, "Jockooo!" and that poor little dog had no clue that he wasn't wanted by the TV set.
