Though I had aced the test, I was failing my AlgebraII class at mid-term, because I hadn't turned in any homework, yet. I turned it all in on the last day before the final -- a pile over an inch thick -- aced that and nailed the A for the class.

And that was a subject I actually LIKED.

Stuff I really could take or leave --- [mimic foghorn] Boooooo-rrinngggg!

I couldn't understand Math to save my life. Luckily I
managed (barely) to make it through the required two
years. I really loved History (mostly) & my poor teacher
was always frustrated with my lack of cooperation. I
managed to pass easily with little homework & A's on
all tests & quizzes. I aced the regents easily as well.
My English teacher hated the fact it took some major
prodding to get me to hand in reports about books....
unless I actually liked what we read (I usually didn't).
