Meditation means no interruptions from the young of the species. As I homeschool them, the only hope of peace and quiet for me is to rise well before them or to go swimming during adult lap swim late at night. This not so easy as it may sound.
I'll second that. I am (was) about as hardcore macho type as you could get (cept maybe for this guy, YIKES!)
22 years of military lifestyle, fried food out of the galley, stress from the junior officers trying to kill us all, then me uprooting my entire family when I retired, etc, etc.... I was a mental and physical train wreck 2 years ago. I was the last one to think I would be doing yoga and meditating. But it really has changed my life. I am getting better and stronger every day with that sense of ballance that somehow makes it all work.
