GH is STILL on??? What's that, now, 45 years??

I remember, as a little boy, going to my grandparent's house; Mom's parents. I could hang out with grandpa, if he was around, or I could hang out with the TV, if grandma was home and her soaps were on. It got a little better when they bought their first color TV. Other than that, it was me, the metal race cer, the metal tractor and the TV. I still remember the episode when Unis was shot, although I don't remember if she survived. That must have been the next episode and I missed it.

I used to play checkers with my grandpa; I never really knew my grandma very well at all. Her sofa ganged up with those soaps and killed her off when I was still pretty young. Grandpa was all broke up over it. I think he secretly detested those soaps, too. Lotta time there he and grandma could've spent talking.

I never had time for soaps until I had to quit work, and then I began to watch a half-hour soap at 11:00 because I wanted to watch the news at 11:30. That soap was a spin off of GH, called "Port Charles."

There were several characters from GH that would appear on PC, so I watched GH out of curiosity...PC has since been cancelled (7 years run time) but a lot of the characters there now have roles on other soaps.

GH is the only one I watch. And I'm usually doing hand work while it's on...I could never just SIT and WATCH TV. My hands have to be busy.
