Will it be Rocket Launch or Rocket Failure?
Clemens vs. Contreras
yes...IMHO Ken and Darren Jackson do a good job broadcasting..I read somewhere Ken is enjoying this from his home in Fla.
Double play for the Sox. To the bottom of the second.
1-1.
Yes, Josh did an absolutely incredible rendition of the Nat'l Anthem. I would've pinged you immediately, but I didn't know he was doing it. I almost missed it myself, I had just gotten off the phone...
Probably still made the right decision.
The world series is nice but the real story in mlb is Dale Sveum leaving the red sox to go coach third base for the brewers.
Though the radio networks of the respective teams are still doing games, at least for the flagship stations. Last year
ESPN Radio did the World Series, but so did KMOX (Cards)
and WEEI (Red Sox, with Castiglione and Trupiano).
btw keeping on the radio and baseball topic, the Cards not only get a new ballpark next year but a new flagship station.
No more KMOX.
Thanks for the correction.
Everett leads off with a base hit to center.
Is anyone watching the MLS playoffs? /sarcasm
I was 9 in 59, my uncle from Lincoln Neb. listened to WGN on the radio and back then the Sox games were the only night games Chicago offered. He got tickets to the 1st game of the seies and brought me a pennant from the game. It had all the names of the players in the picture of the sock. I had my house broke into in the late 80's, and damn if the crooks didn't take my 1959 pennant....
I was at the opening night at Wrigley...8-8-88 what a great 3 innings that was.
Is any one else tired of Fox miking up Brandon Bakke? I think his comments are pretty damned contrived and overdone.
Ping for old northsider:)
Are you kidding? This is the world serious.
1st and 3rd nobody out for ChiSox...is Clemens back bothering him (or hamstring)...wonder how long he'll last tonight. Then again he could be fine and get out of this jam.
Your right. This is series
The dangers of being miked up: watched World Series one year (or maybe it was NLCS) and Leo Mazzone, in the Braves dugout, said the F-word after Mike Stanton started to run into
trouble. Now I think Fox "screens" these things just in case.
2-1 Sox.
Other then Backe's comments about never getting Eckstein out, they've been pretty predictable.
Everett scored on the groundout to 2nd, 2-1 Sox.
2-1 CWS on a fielder's choice. Everett takes off and scores when throw goes to second (see split screen)
Real pitcher's duel eh?
