It is truly, truly mind-boggling to try and figure out why the Cubs can't even GET there (since '45). It's that goat, I tell ya!

"My guess is that Palmeiro comes in to face the right hander."
I remember always hoping for his rookie card circa 1987 -- every time I bought a pack of cards. I was 12. Where has the time gone?!

I remember a playoff series, Cle. vs. Bos., with Tribe's Bartolo Colon throwing 100 mph in game 1. Then he came back for his next game on short rest and couldn't get the job done, but there
are some pitchers out there who can really throw the heat
To: Miztiki
Is that Chuck Norris at the plate?

99-100 mph. That is some serious heat.

"Might as well have been."

pitching, pitching, pitching...a bullpen that could be considered rusty but also could be considered well-rested
(threw all of 7 pitches in ALCS--the White Sox pitching staff
had to throw some simulated games and "it felt like spring
training)...
To: Miztiki
1st and 3rd with no outs and you don't score. I remember these Astros.
