I was getting firewood, and just happened to catch it coming up. I waited for the entire moonrise (as you know, it doesn't take that long), wishing I had a camera. It rose between two palm trees, all big and yellow, kind of in the northeast over the low mountain pass...

I agree! I'm so glad I can share it with you and the others who witnessed it. I was stopped dead in my tracks. I usually like to watch the rising whenever I can, but this one was utterly mesmerizing and stunning.

We had a big party here. Big dinner, we just finished cleaning up. It was so much fun, we laughed more than I thought possible. Great people. Great friends.
