If I trip and fall, my cat runs up to check me out.
Not to see if I'm okay, she's checking to see if I am too hurt to feed her.
And if I'm too hurt to feed her, she's checking to see if I'm hurt enough to take down.
If cats were bipedal and had opposable thumbs, mankind would be doomed.
