Yes, it is the dampness that brings them out.

Well, the curtains I like have some darker colors in them, and I also like light and airy. I will likely add some darker accents once I get the basics. The carpet looks darker in that picture than it actually is.
I ran across a window treatment last night that I really liked....and it is so "me." It is rather bold for a living room. I might try something like this in the bedroom though.

Oops - I thought I ought to show you at least one yacht before I go to bed.
This one was leading the pack for the first three miles. When I saw it was USA, I put a hex on it. On the way back it had dropped to second place. :)
They sailed three miles up the Ria and then back again heading for the open sea on the first 5,200 nm leg of the journey to Cape Town.
In May they will be in Baltimore and New York.

I just got home. Our teenage foster kids, from here and surrounding counties, cooked a meal this evening for the foster parents, caseworkers and Katrina evacuees who are staying at the ranch. That was nice.
I got another idea that might work. I could get a square hassock to match the furniture and put it on one end, then put the square table in the middle. That would look more balanced.
