It'd be a big deal at this point for the White Sox to just get back to the World Series. It's incredible that even with two teams Chicago hasn't hosted a World Series game since Ike was President.

I brought my Rally Monkey to work today. He's sitting on one of my computer speakers, leaning against my monitor.
My Seattle coworkers are casting anxious looks at me, as though I have been smitten with the plague.

I didn't know you were an Angel's fan.
Being an Angels fan in Seattle, you probably feel like a ham hock at a barmizvah. LOL
This will be a verrrrry difficult game for the Angels tonight.
They'll be very tired from all the travel.
The adrenalin has worn off by now.

I didn't know you were an Angel's fan. Yep! I was born in San Francisco, raised on the Oakland side of the bay, and was an A's fan until I left home. Half my adult life I spent in Orange County stationed at Tustin and El Toro, so I gravitated toward the Angels. They won the World Series just before I moved up here.

Our team sucks so bad almost everyone up here roots for the Mariners plus one other team. :-)

Agreed... I'll settle for a split in Chicago. The poor guys must be exhausted.

Thanks! "Big Klu" was part of a 100 HR outfield for the Reds, before he went to Chi. Him, Frank Robinson and Gus Bell.

The crowd at Comiskey was very sedate last night, but they sound better now.
I'm optimistic with Burley.... Bheurley.... Beuhule.... Mark B. on the mound.

That run was like a Dodger rally during the time of Maury Wills.

In 1977, the Dodgers made history when four members of the team hit 30 or more home runs: Steve Garvey (33), Reggie Smith (32), Ron Cey (30) and Dusty Baker (30).

Can any Angels fan tell me where Anderson usually bats in the order? Considering how hot he is, he should be batting 3 or 4. Does it have something to do with facing the lefty?
Also, that talking cartoon baseball is nearly insufferable. How many 8-year-olds are watching this game?

Bonehead play by a runner. On third with no outs ---- you don't take chances. Incredible play by the 3rd baseman.

D*mn you, Joey Cora! What are you doing?! A man on 3rd with NO OUTS does not strike me as a desperate situation!

It looked to me like he was sent home.
Still boneheaded, but not all his fault.

Not a very clean game. Uribe makes an incredible play in the first, then he blows an easy one.

Upon seeing it again, you're right, that was a great play by the 3b. Still, Rowand shouldn't have gone in the first place.
Bad throw by Uribe. We can't afford this kind of thing....

Well there goes the no-hitter. Mark is still on fire, though. If he can keep it up, the Angels are in trouble.

And the fact is most people in Los Angeles and Chicago won't even care. Now if it was the Dodgers vs the Cubs, that would be a whole different story.Considering that Anaheim is 30-40 miles from L.A. yeah you are correct...most LaLa Land inhabitant's don't/won't care.
They finally got the name right ( Anaheim Angels..) a few years ago...and the new moron owner...couldn't leave well enough alone.
RANT off...
