Figgins leads off the Angels 1st with a single, let's see if they can get something going.
Jermaine Dye and Pauly Konerko have been huge tonight! I take back anything bad I've ever said about the two of them!
And nice job by Donnely with 1st and 3rd no outs.
Garland has been a machine tonight. When the weak man in the rotation is Freddy Garcia, the opposition is in trouble.
Ozzie is leaving Garland in to finish the game!
Tomorrow is a must-win for the Angels. (But I suppose that goes without saying.)

Congratulations to the White Sox... they are an amazing, focused team and deserve to go to the World Series.
Pale Hose: 4 consecutive complete games plus timely hitting, good defense, power ball, small ball and there's your answer.
Angels had a poor offense. They pitched well in 3/5 games but you gotta score more than 2.5 runs a game to compete.
Yep, the White Sox are truly astounding... they deserved to win. I sure hope our RED Sox have all or most of the traits you've listed above next season. It especially bugs me how inept they can be in the 'small ball' area.
I'm just happy to see the Hillary Curse still in force.
Yeah, the more I think about that, it is truly astounding! I will probably be rooting for the Astros also if they make it to the WS... not sure yet. If I were betting on the World Series (I'm not), I would bet on the White Sox though.
There are several ex-NY Yankees on both the ChiSox and Astros: Contreras, El Duque (Orlando Hernandez), Clemens, Pettitte. King George must be having a fit! ;-D
No comment from "Yankees fan" Hillary yet... LOL
If Boston can surround Pappi and Manny with some small ball players then their lineup will become even more lethal.
The Red Sox did nothing in the way of scouting or drafting good players over the years and as such had to buy their players. The 2003-05 trilogy was a good bunch that showerd their age at the end and unfortunatetly they find themselves a year or two away from seriosuly contending again. They have some arms in the minors but 24 year olds rarely come on the scene and dominate. They need time to develop and learn. The Sox also lack any real impact positional players in their system which means they have to sign other people's free agents or failures.
2007 is when I would expect to see them again.
I've watch every game AL and NL. The Card can't get anyone to hit (just like last year) and with the 'Stros Big Three ready again I don't see how they win.
I like Oswalt, so I'm rooting for the Astros.
I know... could you imagine? All season long I kept hearing/reading that "small ball isn't Tito's style". Well, geez, why not put "style" aside - think outside the box for a change - and learn small ball techniques... move those guys along the bases and score runs? And maybe do drills on bunting balls as I've heard baseball players in Japan do...
Right now we only know half the lineup for 2006. Renteria, Ortiz, Manny, Tek, and Nixon.
