Definitely Foxtrot - 80% of my comic collection books are either Calvin & Hobbes or Foxtrot.

Hands down my favorite comic strip of all time.
Even the title characters are an erudite reference to the cartoonist's favorite philosophers, John Calvin and John Hobbes!

I just love 'Shoe'! The characters are wonderful send-ups of the common man, expect for the Senator, if that isn't Ted Kennedy to a tee! "Shoe" is modeled on a jouranlism professor who taught at UNC Chapel Hill, a Dr. Shoemaker. Jeff MacNally, he originator of the strip died a few years ago, but his sucessors have made it even funnier.
