Those and the peregrines are the "ladies' hawks" - what knights' ladies used when they went hawking.

A friend of my dad's rehabs raptors. It's amazing how tiny and delicate the little hawks are.

Is that right:), how interesting.

I really wasn't sure if he was a sharp shinned or a coopers hawk, I'm going by the size that he was a sharp shinned.

I would never have guessed to look under the hawk section of my book, but my husband said it looked like a hawk. That's the only reason I figured it out so quick.
