Yeah, I got past it. I never said anything to him about it again after he told me and all I said then was "Oh MAN! That was my favorite cat!". He's a good kid and does an awful lot for us and I wouldn't want to hurt his feelings. I'm sure he knows not to bring the dog back with him though. All he's got to do is come in the truck. The dog doesn't follow him then.

I loved the dog vs cat story. I can just see it too. A cat that won't back down is a force to be reconed with by any dog, much less a little one. I'm glad the little cuss got off with just a scratch to the eye coz that cat could've really done a number on her. I'll bet the cat was thinking "What the heck IS this yappy little thing running at me, a rat tangled up in a mop or what?!" ;o)

Glad you got past it with your nephew... it's rough.


As for Zulu, she had to wear an Elizabethan collar for the scratched eye, and she was pretty pathetic. She kept getting stuck under things like the coffee table, or the dining room chairs, and she couldn't get out. I'd just find her, despondent, in these predicaments.
