The FreeRepublic Saddle Club - Who's Who *pics*

This is a horse chat thread where we share ideas, ask for input from other horsemen, and talk about our riding and horse-keeping. We have a lot of different kinds of riders and horses, and a lot to share. In the previous threads we have had a great time talking through lessons, training, horse lamenesses, illnesses and pregnancies... and always sharing pictures and stories.

I always have a link to this thread on my profile page, so if you have something to say and can't find the thread in latest posts… look for it there and wake the thread up!

I also have a ping list for horse threads that are of interest, and MissTargets will now be pinging everyone most mornings. Let MissTargets and/or me know if you would like to be on the ping list. As FreeRepublic is a political site, our politics and other issues will probably blend in…. There are many issues for horsemen that touch politics… land use, animal rights/abuse cases that make the news…. Legislation that might affect horse owners.

So... like the previous threads, this is intended as fun place to come and share stories, pictures, questions and chit-chat, unguided and unmoderated and that we come together here as friends. There are lots of ways of doing things and we all have our quirks, tricks and specialties that are neat to learn about.

Was it "Format c:"? I think that would be OK.

OK, meeting time. :-\

Hey, thanks for the info, I wondered about this exact thing. If he'd come back here since we gave him a ride once:(

I had to run an errand just now to town and darn if I didn't see him walking down the road a few miles from his home, no coat, nothing but a t shirt.

Kind of off topic, but is anyone watching the Olympics??? Did you see it last night, the replays of the pairs skater where the guy dropped his partner from an overhead lift a year or so ago???...

Yes! It was awful! I think it was at Salt Lake 4 years ago but I'm not sure. She was like 10 feet in the air by the time you count the length of his arms over his head and the length of her upper body, and when he dropped her you could hear her head smack the ice like a watermelon on pavement. I thought she was dead coz she just layed there in a heap like a broken doll. I was surprised that she didn't have brain damage.

I'm also surprised that they won the gold because from what I saw of their routine (I didn't see it all), it looked like he was still really scared of dropping her again and all his lifts and stuff looked really tentative. I'm glad to hear it though.

I thought the Chinese couple before them were awesome though. They did some really cool stuff.

You are most welcome. If you contact someone go to the head person by asking for his case manager and not the house caregiver.

I just barely caught some of the conversations over on HH about her move. Is she moving in next door or something?

Police don't want us to do "their" job but when we don't they want to know why we didn't. Ironic.

Yeah. I haven't been able to find one I like on line either. Reba has a cool one too. Is there a tag still on yours so I could contact the company?

I haven't been watching the olympics but I did see them early this year. They went thru all their routines well but they just were not totally relaxed. They were good but ...you could tell. It seemed more him than her to me though.

I'm not eating much sugar and don't like flowers. Sarah Lee has been on sick leave long enough and I was determined we were riding today. I was running late from work. When I got there he had her out, had lunged her , and had her all ready for me.

Nothing special. I only rode 30 minutes at a walk. Next time I'll up it 5 minutes and add a little trotting. No coughing though. Just a bit of DA. I was worried about a little rodeoing but she was fine.

I'd like to go with you but the person who covers my days off went to Tennessee three weeks ago and hasn't surfaced yet.

I don't know if I can go either. I have the vacation time but I was out a week in Jan when I got sick. All I can do is ask. Brett is being deployed soon and I want to see him before he leaves.

Where is Brett going this time? You could fly out to see Brett Friday after work and ride back with Dad.
