This is a horse chat thread where we share ideas, ask for input from other horsemen, and talk about our riding and horse-keeping. We have a lot of different kinds of riders and horses, and a lot to share. In the previous threads we have had a great time talking through lessons, training, horse lamenesses, illnesses and pregnancies... and always sharing pictures and stories.
I always have a link to this thread on my profile page, so if you have something to say and can't find the thread in latest posts… look for it there and wake the thread up!
I also have a ping list for horse threads that are of interest, and MissTargets will now be pinging everyone most mornings. Let MissTargets and/or me know if you would like to be on the ping list. As FreeRepublic is a political site, our politics and other issues will probably blend in…. There are many issues for horsemen that touch politics… land use, animal rights/abuse cases that make the news…. Legislation that might affect horse owners.
So... like the previous threads, this is intended as fun place to come and share stories, pictures, questions and chit-chat, unguided and unmoderated and that we come together here as friends. There are lots of ways of doing things and we all have our quirks, tricks and specialties that are neat to learn about.

Hey all, just lurking today. Have a miserable cold that's eating up all my energy. Becky, I'm glad that Rusty is doing well in his new home! Well I'm going to go crawl into bed with my laptop and Freep from there. It's been miserable and cold, and my heat isn't working!
What's wrong with your heat? If you are sick you don't need to be getting cold.
Oh it's a steam radiator and it's old and cranky.
I hope you have an electric blanket:')

There was a kind of "rich and famous" show on tonight. They started out with horse ranches and went to super yachts . I was really tired and it lulled me into a nice nap. Anyway, they showed a poilsh Arabian. I can't remember his name . Started with an E and he even had his own wine named after him. He was making foals right and left. 15000 a piece. Beautiful horses but esp. him. Did you see it?
Do they have people come in and picture perfect their homes. There is absolutely no clutter. Not even one diet coke can:')

I took a vacation day today, and going to go camping this weekend. It might be the last good one before it gets too cold. The leaves are changing, and if the sun would come out, it might be pretty nice.
I won't be here to "ping" the list, so maybe Hair or Becky would. You all have a great weekend!

I did call and leave a message with my vet about the pony pee thing.... But his greeting indicated he was out all day yesterday.

I didn't see it.... not sure what stallion that is. I've been out of the Arab show thing for so long, I don't know many stallions that are still living! I know the ones from 20 years ago :~D
If you could remember the name or the wine, we could prolly look him up.
I had a blast. It was just arena stuff but it's fun riding with others.
My daughter has a party tonight for her 16th birthday.
At six o'clock, my job is to get her out of the house.
So I am taking her on a trail ride. All of her friends are going to be hiding in the stall when we come back to the barn.
Just make sure they scare the bejebers out of only your daughter, and not the horses!
