I'm cold too. It's in the 40's
LOL! As a pilot it was fun to take some non-pilots flying. Knowing that they know there is nothing they can do to fly the airplane......... Heh!
Going to 30 here tonight. I am ready for spring time.
Wow! Nice Car! Does that mean you get to buy more horsey stuff now? ;o)
Pony had a patch of skin behind her ear that got all scaly, I picked at it trying to figure out what was going on and a whole big piece of hair and hide came off... clean skin underneath, like the outer layers had just died.
Never did figure out what it was... I feared it was fungus or a parasite... emailed and sent pictures of it to my vet, and he wasn't sure... said he'd come out if it grew... The hair grew back fine. ???
Exactly. The skin looked dead or infected. His is from chasing and getting caught though:')
I don't ~think~ that's what it was with the pony... would be an odd spot
Got to go get my doctor. Talk later.
I would have taken a picture but my son borrowed my camera and can't find the cord.
I think they're out ~cruisin'~
LOL, that's excactly where we've been. Now he is out washing it, and then he is going to go pick Jenny up from work. I couldn't go, there's only room for two:) We'll probably have to wench her out of it:).

Yeah, it's goofy looking, but I bet it's going to work great, and who cares what you look like out on a horse:)
Becky
That's a great hat! :~D
Is there any possibility he got some kind of a puncture wound at that sight? I guess no sign of infection or anything, huh?
Almost looks like some kind of mange doesn't it?
That's what I thought. But it went away without treatment. ~shrugs~
Bob talked to the feed store today. If we buy a pallet of Strategy at a time, we will get four bags free $46.00 worth, plus 5% discount. That's not much but it does run the cost down from $575 to $500.25. We will have to store the pallet in the barn alleyway but it should be fine there. They gave Bob the number to their feed expert (? Purina maybe) who said it should store okay for the month. We'll see, I guess.
I don't know that I've ever seen mange on a horse to tell the truth, but I have no idea what else it could have been.
I think a month at a time would be OK. Before the guy in Bixby started stocking it for us we had to go to another town, years ago. We bought a ton at a time to save makeing so many trips. That lasted about a month.
