The FreeRepublic Saddle Club - Who's Who *pics*

This is a horse chat thread where we share ideas, ask for input from other horsemen, and talk about our riding and horse-keeping. We have a lot of different kinds of riders and horses, and a lot to share. In the previous threads we have had a great time talking through lessons, training, horse lamenesses, illnesses and pregnancies... and always sharing pictures and stories.

I always have a link to this thread on my profile page, so if you have something to say and can't find the thread in latest posts… look for it there and wake the thread up!

I also have a ping list for horse threads that are of interest, and MissTargets will now be pinging everyone most mornings. Let MissTargets and/or me know if you would like to be on the ping list. As FreeRepublic is a political site, our politics and other issues will probably blend in…. There are many issues for horsemen that touch politics… land use, animal rights/abuse cases that make the news…. Legislation that might affect horse owners.

So... like the previous threads, this is intended as fun place to come and share stories, pictures, questions and chit-chat, unguided and unmoderated and that we come together here as friends. There are lots of ways of doing things and we all have our quirks, tricks and specialties that are neat to learn about.

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!

Sorry I don't visit as much as I used to, but that'll change as things settle back to normal and I go riding with my daughter again. :-D

I hope everyone has a blessed day filled with joy and laughter.

Merry Christmas :)

Getting ready to go back to bed for awhile, the kids got me up at 5am. Coffee was ready :)

I don't have any pics downloaded YET:') It's been a ride this week though. We had Christmas with my oldest that is back from Japan earlier this week. I took 6 kids ,5 and under to get a picture taken. That was an interesting experience. Yesterday was my husbands birthday so we partied. The kids will be here at 1 to open gifts . I'm taking a cooking break for a minute. I'm kind of disappointed. I was hoping it would snow again. God, dusted us last year for a special treat and now we expect it ever year lol. Isn't that the way it goes though?

Merry Christmas all!

I went to our evening church service last night, and there were bell-ringers, all shy nervous little girls.

When they picked up their bells, their hands were shaking so that the clappers rang all around the rim.

But then they got into Hark The Herald Angels with great enthusiasm and all nervousness dissappeared. They did great.

Myself and all animals chowing down this morning.

My cousin sent me a mouse-pad with that picture of me and Whiskey in the river that is posted here. A great gift!

Cool, clear and dry.

My best gift is that Miss Accident-Prone, the thoroughbred with the infected lymph system, ate heartily this morning and is prancing around. I think we're over the hump! She's going to get well.

Merry Christmas to you all! We have had a great relaxing time. Kids are having a blast.
We are heading up to Virginia in the New Year to see some land. Lots of snow there now and the kids need a sled.

Have fun. I'm still looking too. Eddie is taking off to Florida NY weekend so I'm thinking of taking off and going north myself.

Maybe for her birthday. I can't afford to spend that much on all of the grandkids and it would not have been fair to just get her one. If the right one comes around I may buy one for all of them. I have my eye on one that looks like Okie with no legs:')

Yours is good , just not good for her. All animals have a purpose IMO.

My two new grandsons got a ride on Okie. They were so good. They brushed and fed him and had a good time.
