The FreeRepublic Saddle Club - Who's Who *pics*

This is a horse chat thread where we share ideas, ask for input from other horsemen, and talk about our riding and horse-keeping. We have a lot of different kinds of riders and horses, and a lot to share. In the previous threads we have had a great time talking through lessons, training, horse lamenesses, illnesses and pregnancies... and always sharing pictures and stories.

I always have a link to this thread on my profile page, so if you have something to say and can't find the thread in latest posts… look for it there and wake the thread up!

I also have a ping list for horse threads that are of interest, and MissTargets will now be pinging everyone most mornings. Let MissTargets and/or me know if you would like to be on the ping list. As FreeRepublic is a political site, our politics and other issues will probably blend in…. There are many issues for horsemen that touch politics… land use, animal rights/abuse cases that make the news…. Legislation that might affect horse owners.

So... like the previous threads, this is intended as fun place to come and share stories, pictures, questions and chit-chat, unguided and unmoderated and that we come together here as friends. There are lots of ways of doing things and we all have our quirks, tricks and specialties that are neat to learn about.

... Let him know that he's in our prayers and we miss him. :~D

I will. I'm sure he would appreciate all the prayers he can get. Thanks!

Your trees are beautiful. I had to stop putting one up a few years ago. I miss the decorating. I have three dogs. One gets under the trees, one takes them down, and the other eats anything that falls off. We settled for lights and other decorations that are off the floor and watch the one dog try to climb the wall to get at em.

LOL - The Christmas tree as "jungle jim" for the pets wasn't working for you?

When do you start back? I took my last final on the 5th and start back on the 14th. We are working straight through Christmas.

Well, I rode for about 30 minutes in the arena, As usual Harley was fine. Tomorrow I'll go on some trails.

I didn't know Cav was not feeling well; get well soon.

Hey, you could get one of these...

They apparently hang on the wall upside down. What WILL they think of next?!

I will have about a month off. Spring 2006 classes start on Jan. 17. This last Microbiology test will be a lot easier than the last one. The one I took on Saturday was RNA and DNA viral diseases, and it was a real bitch. The last test is over fungal and protozoan diseases and there is a lot less information. Also, the last test will be multiple choice using a Scantron. All the other tests were matching, definitions, and fill in the blank.

The very last test I will have on Wednesday/Thursday is an on-line final for Medical Terminology. It is easy. I get 120 minutes to answer 100 questions. Plenty of time to look up answers I don't know in the book. I currently have about a 98 average in that class anyway.

I am looking forward to the break. Also, the only class in the spring that I am taking is Lifespan Psychology, a piece of cakeola!!!

I thought about taking that class in Wintermester and getting it over with. Wintermester is 2 weeks, 5 days a week, 4 hours a day. But, you get the class over with very quickly. I took Statistics last Maymester. It was a hard 2 weeks though.

There's someone in my my old hometown that used to hang their christmas tree upside down in the front window. It was the most bizzare thing that I had ever seen, and they probably still do it.

I have two finals and one paper for my winter semester wrap-up. My classes start again on the 27th of January. I present my thesis in the spring, so you can guess what I'll be working on over my "break"

Glad you rode... good for Harley, and for your confidence in him :~D

Will you still have someone with you tomorrow for the ride? I hope so, because we'd love to see the pictures. Not enough of us have been out there riding and bringing back the pictures for us. :~D
