This is a horse chat thread where we share ideas, ask for input from other horsemen, and talk about our riding and horse-keeping. We have a lot of different kinds of riders and horses, and a lot to share. In the previous threads we have had a great time talking through lessons, training, horse lamenesses, illnesses and pregnancies... and always sharing pictures and stories.
I always have a link to this thread on my profile page, so if you have something to say and can't find the thread in latest posts… look for it there and wake the thread up!
I also have a ping list for horse threads that are of interest, and MissTargets will now be pinging everyone most mornings. Let MissTargets and/or me know if you would like to be on the ping list. As FreeRepublic is a political site, our politics and other issues will probably blend in…. There are many issues for horsemen that touch politics… land use, animal rights/abuse cases that make the news…. Legislation that might affect horse owners.
So... like the previous threads, this is intended as fun place to come and share stories, pictures, questions and chit-chat, unguided and unmoderated and that we come together here as friends. There are lots of ways of doing things and we all have our quirks, tricks and specialties that are neat to learn about.

I had some staffing problems at work and had to go back in. I was coming home and it was very dark and no cars out. Suddenly, something white blew in front of my car. I kind of jumped and hit the brakes a second. It was a plastic bag. If someone had been on my back they would have better have had a good seat:')

I lost satelite internet connection for 10 mins and we have just had a good soaking and expecting more tonight. Nothing more I don't think. We have the Georgia fair going on this weekend which we may go to, lots of tractors for the boys to ooh and aah over (including deaconjim!). Emma is heading down to florida with her best friend this weekend which will be nice for her! : )
So far we have lucked out this year but have had a couple of close calls.

I can now but it's 6 in the morning. Nobody wants to play with me this early, though.

It's Friday!
I'm here. I've been up for about 2 hours, waking everyone up around here. I get really p/o when I can't find stuff. So... Yeah, I went out to the car to look for a check packet so I could balance my checkbook . It's windy and cool. A really nice surprise. I didn't even know it was coming in.
Morning. Yes, finally Friday and I'm out of here as soon as I can get away.

I'm in the process of getting everyone up but they are moving slow this morning. Feels awfully good under those covers on a chilly morning.
