Good advice. Women like to talk, chat and be sociable. I've had a few dates that went like this:
ME: What do you typically do on your off-time?
HIM: Nothing much.
ME: Well...do you have friends/family that keep you busy?
HIM: Not really.
ME: Is there any place you dream of going or anything you've always wanted to do.... but couldn't until now?
HIM: I don't think about it much...
*DEAD AIR*
What's a gal supposed to do with that? I appreciate articles like this because it gives me a little more insight into the male species. *chuckle*
My suggestion - bring a book - maybe even a DVD player with a good movie. Or... bring your own car and RUN.
;-)
ME: Well...do you have friends/family that keep you busy?
Shes whining, now sending back her second undercooked entree. Smile, and laugh. Not as busy as you are keeping the cook and the waitstaff..
Not really
ME: Is there any place you dream of going or anything you've always wanted to do.... but couldn't until now?
She tells you about her evil ex-husband and how all he wanted was sex, for the entire three hours of the meal. Smile, even if you have to think about how lucky he is to not be here. I think about wonderful sex from a beautiful woman all the time.
I don't think about it much
Not, of course, indicating that YOU would have done anything like this...
Jeff Foxworthy did a routine about the difference between men and women.
If a woman gets a divorce, she has to talk the entire night with her female friends about what she's going through.
For the guy, if he is with his friend at the gym, it pretty much goes like this.
"Bob, I'm getting a divorce."
"That's too bad. Hey can you spot me?"
