Does anyone have an invite to gmail that they would be willing to give to a fellow freeper?

Thanks in advance for any response.

I have like 100 of them. But it sounds like you've already gotten a response.

You don't need an 'invite', all you need is an active cell phone. Se below:

This is not spam. It seems that google (you all know that name, right?) is
offering invitations to open a gmail account (along with its 2gig [that's
right, 2gig] capacity). What you need is a mobile phone number to apply
(explanation here):

But it's a free e-mail service, with 2 gigs of storage. I managed to get an
invitation couple months ago; it is nice not having to worry about overflowing
your mailbox. The layout does have some quirks, but I've gotten used to it.

I'd say, sign up now (if you have a cell phone).

Personally, I use my free GMail account to sign-up for web services that I think might sell my personal information to third-parties. In other words, if I suspect I'll receive spam from NYTimes, I'll sign-up for NYTimes using my GMail account -- which uses my nickname at a fake snail-mail address. After all, I don't care if my 'fake' GMail account receives spam, since it keeps my real/private/pay/ISP e-mail account spam-free. Plus, all my IM chat accounts are tied to my GMail account.

Just a thought.
