Rush ran an exchange today between NBC's David Gregory and the President...where Gregory hectored him about going to San Antonio, saying, "aren't you going to be in the way? What can you do there?"
The announcement at the bottom of the hour was that Bush now will NOT be going to Texas, and instead will just go to the Northern Command in Colorado.
In your dreams.
Then David Gregory will say, "Why didn't the President come to Texas, doesn't he care?"
He "won" in the sense that the Public wasn't told that Gregory already had the President's agenda/schedule for Colorado when he asked that "question" about going to Texas...
Anything this prez does...and I mean ANYTHING....is going to be scrutinized by the left, and they will quickly trot out somebody with a convincing, pithy soundbite to make him look like he's (take your pick) an idiot, incompetent, drunk/stoned, disconnected, picking his nose, favoring the rich, on and on and on..............
Honestly, he could declare world peace and they would criticize him for not eradicating polio in India.
If Gregory did, then Bush didn't know. If you heard the clip on Rush...W empatically stated he wouldn't "be in the way."
This is just a Karl Rove ploy....now David can ask him why he didn't go to Texas....making even a larger fool of himself. David Gregory is a royale Clymer!!!!
David Gregory is a limp-wristed homo.
The GOP needs to stand up to the bullying of the leftwing media idiots.
He's damed if he went directly to Texas and damed if he doesn't go. The RACIST (JJ,Sharpton, Blankco, will cry foul, claiming he racist and didn't care about the blacks becuase" he just flew over NO but lands in Texas day of Hurricane". Man just doesn't get a break, and of course he already fallen off the wagon. uhhhhhhhh
As usually David Gregory made an *** out of himself with such a nasty comment
Not at all, Bush was going to San Antonio to meet with rescue workers. With the storm forecast to hit further east, the workers are relocating to Houston to be closer to worst impacted areas. Bush did not wish to disrupt this move in any way.
And Rush made a comment on his show, how President Bush must have been laughing to himself by the asinine questions that David Gregory was asking, but, yet, the dupid ( dupid = sheeple being duped by the MSM ) sheeple will still even give this a 2 nd thought.
What gives David Gregory any more of a right to have his inane babble responded to than any other American?
I understand he is a reporter for NBC, but so what? Why not just ignore him and instead answer questions from others who are not rude and hateful? What the heck am I missing here? If I were anyone in any administration, I would insist on respectful treatment, or I would never respond, period.
Here's the bulletin that was sent out to all pilots earlier today. David Gregory had at least this much info (well, his handlers had it...he's personally as dumb as a stump):
==> ATTENTION PILOTS <==
FAA TO ESTABLISH TFRs OVER TEXAS, GULF COAST THIS WEEKEND AOPA is sending this message to advise pilots in and near Texas and the Gulf Coast area that the FAA is expected to issue notams restricting flight in the area during President Bush's possible visits from Friday, September 23, to Sunday, September 25.
Based on information from the White House, the president's schedule is flexible, but it is possible that he could visit Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas, and Alabama in the wake of Hurricane Rita. He is scheduled to monitor Rita from Colorado Springs, Colorado. AOPA anticipates that the notams will establish large temporary flight restrictions (TFRs) limiting general aviation flight. Typically, these presidential travel-related TFRs are 60 nautical miles in diameter (30-nm radius) and contain one or more smaller general aviation no-fly zones. AOPA will post the notams on AOPA Online ( http://www.aopa.org/whatsnew/notams.html ) as soon as possible after they are issued. Graphics will also be available.
