It's a shame what indiscriminate pairings can do to a fine breed. GSDs had been on a generally qualitative downswing for 50 years with the exception of a few carefully monitored bloodlines.
The opening of eastern europe has provided an infusion of fresh genetics and I have advocated and encouraged anyone who might be considering bringing one of "those dogs," to the US to go ahead and do so.

When you see dogs that literally walk on their hocks, you know someone needs to have their heads examined. It's mind-boggling what AKC show people have done to their side of the GSD breed. WHAT are they thinking???
