As a practicing Catholic and beleiver in things outside our natural world, I'll go out on a limb and say 'yes, just coincidences.'

I knew there was a reason that I didn't vote for Pat Buchanan for President. Thank God that the neo-cons are in charge of the weather machines and Karl Rove only gets to use it against poor black people in New Orleans.

You forgot to mention the birth of monsters, both of human and cattle variety, appearance of comets, Rwandan and Bosnian genocides, and portents of all varieties, including sudden pimples on VIP derrieres.

So, tell us, Hank, what do YOU think about all this?
Seems to me, if God wanted to send a message, he'd flood out the ARABS, not the only country that gives a hang at all about Israel.

Wow! Within the past few decades there have been numerous natural disasters that have occurred at the same time that some important events have transpired in Israel.
I would be completely convinced that this is no mere coincidence and can only be attributed to the direct action of God punishing the wicked, except for one small thing: it's fallacious.

If God wanted His will known, He would make it known without cryptic weather messages.
God isn't that limited IMO.
Now we ARE limited and to make the jump or conclusions that the weather is a sign of this or that is very much the ignorant kind of thing we do all the time historically.
Every generation also has believed they have lived in end times. At some point that will also be true, but we humans won't know that time for sure at all either because we are not God.
Pray God's will be done and trust in God, at most, that is what we CAN do.

It seems to me that if God were sending a message to someone regarding the existence of Israel, He'd be sending it to the despoilers, the Moslems, particularly the Arab Moslems -- storms, earthquakes, floods, volcanoes, asteroids, rains of locusts...

[These are a few examples of the many "Act of God" events that coincide with the timing of the country's pressure on Israel to give up her land for peace.]
As a FUNDAMENTALIST Bible Believer that knows the latter days will be accompanied with many acts of God before the 7 year tribulation, God will prepare the world to accept His only begotten son Jesus Christ as King of the whole earth for the 1000 year kingdom age. I believe that these acts are not a coincidence but rather warnings to all people that as the world becomes more wicked (as in the days of Noah) the Lord God Almighty will bring Israel into the full inheritance of the land He gave the Jewish people though the unconditional covenant promise he made with Abraham.
All attempts to resist His will are futile and will be met with extreme prejudice.
