Fox New | 9/2/05 | Fox News -Oriley

Posted on 09/02/2005 5:53:17 PM PDT by konaice

Just watched Shepard Smith having and absolute tantrum on Fox News The O'Reilly Factor, complaining that reliefe did not come to the specific spot he was standing.

Petulant, Arogent, Demanding, and bitter. He's totally lost it.

What a whiner.

Shep has been there all week and seen first hand what is happening, how about you? So can you not understand his emotion from the comfort of your living room? Criticism of all you do not understand, cannot imagine, and never experienced is easy is it noyt? So attack me now for defending his emotion.

He was absolutely the picture of control compared to that Geraldo Rivera. Apparently Geraldo is on crack or speed....

That being said. Smith made a good point, if the reporters can make it in, so can water trucks. Big clue to the government. If 5000 people are standing on an overpass, and a nationally syndicated news broadcast says they need water....for crying out loud, GET A CLUE. That's the first place water and food should have gone....this is called common sense.

Amen! Shep was mad that the mayor personally moved people who were "stranded" in a hotel in front of people who had endured the horror of the Superdome. He said he wasn't blaming anyone, just pointing out that no had helped the people on the overpass. What he was mad at was O'Reilly's attempt to bloviate over him.

You go stand on that overpass for 5 days without food and water. Then you might better understand Shep's perspective.

Not that I'm taking sides or anything but, wasn't there a mandatory evacuation ordered? Didn't Shep go there voluntarily?

I think if I had been there for 5 days, I'd be petulant, too.

My question is where the Hell has Britt been the past two days?

Best show on FNC and they have the second string on instead of him and his crew.

Don't bother, I amazed at some of the Freepers during this calamity.

Did you see Geraldo? Bill couldn't get him to shut up and take a breath.

Shep and Geraldo are going to need to see a shrink. Those two are nuttier than Cindy Sheehan.

Shep has been begging for food and water on the same spot for fives days, and watching people die. Sure he's pissed. And O'Reilly is doing alot.

Oh, just can it. Shepard Smith is one hell of a reporter. One of his hallmarks is his passion. You don't like it, switch the freakin' channel.

I'm sick of blow-dried empty suits. Give me 100 Shep Smiths to any one Peter Jennings (with due respect to the recently departed).

Oh my gosh-did anyone see the last 5 minutes of the hurricane relief special-they put on a black kid who said "please help because George Bush does not like black people"-I still can't believe it

Shep looks like he's had a shower and washed his hair today. He seems to be clean and wearing clean clothes. Wonder how that happened?

I agree with you 100%. Shep has done everything to bring attention to the pain of these people for the past 5 days and no one was paying attention. As you said, politicians are taking bows and the people are dying in the streets. They better recognize pretty soon that they do not have a pivot man down there to take control. No one knows where to go or what to do. I have never seen anything like this in my life.

No attack here. I can't imagine what it's like to have to be in the middle of all that for days on end. It's hard to even watch it on tv. Cut these reporters some slack.

Shep does go off sometimes. However, in this case, I think this may be hitting closer to home with him. Isn't he from MS? I think he still has family there....

I could be mistaken.
