Just curious what everybody else is having to pay for gas now. Prices just shot up to $3.00/gallon for the low grade. Yikes!
As I found out. It's been so long ...
I remember filling up my Harley, giving the kid a buck and getting change.
Makes me glad I'm retired.
I used to live in Aptos. Used to work for American Ambulance
in Santa Cruz. Used to make that crazy drive to SJ over the
hill every morning...
$3.09 for Regular...
it jumped 0.40 last night
$3.15 Galway NY (stewarts)
It's $2.89 in SE Kansas. I just called to see what propane is and it's $1.39 a gallon. We use it to heat and I plan to fill the 500 gallon tank this week. I don't want to speculate about propane prices this winter.
2.74 in Cowtown TX
"Can you burn corn in your pellet stove?"
Some pellet stoves will burn both, but the manufacturer of our stove (Quadrafire) recommends wood pellets only . We did get caught short a few years ago and all that was available were Cherry pits. They burned hot, but too fast.
$700 a fillup? How many fills in a winter?
I believe the barges were transporting oil - not gasoline - to refineries. Compounding the issue, the refinery in Memphis is having equipment problems.
Where are the stations in Ark that are out of gas?
The outages are mostly in small towns at the present time. Stations along the major highways may be in better shape.
WOW! "The hill" or Hwy 17. Used to live at the top of the hill near Hoeflers Restaurant (when it was Hoeflers (sp?)). this was before we moved to Soquel.
BTW, I'm a bit freaked out...Had a friend that lived in Aptos (no kidding) she also drove an ambulance, but I don't know the company. I know she had a lead foot and that gave her employers some despair.
One fillup a year is more than enough. I think we used about 300 gallons last year but we also use a wood stove. Wood is free as we cut our own. I just think it's a good idea to go ahead and fill it up now. This time last year we paid about $1.18 a gallon for propane.
Usually we can keep our home warm using only wood until about December, depending on the weather. It's a pain, but hey, it's free. :)
Is that right? I had no idea. I'll have to tell 'pops' that he should pursue royalties!! ;o)
$2.99 for regular and 89, $2.89 for diesel. Gwinner, North Dakota.
AH! But chopping wood, hauling it inside, what fun! < / just a little sarcasm>
Speedway owns just about everything in NW Indiana. They can do whatever they want. I have to admit their pricing practices leave a lot to be desired.
Where do you suggest they park their cars?
$2.77 for regular in Lisbon, MD (Howard County) at 8:00 AM. Drove past the same station at 4:30 PM and it was $3.13 for regular.
Northwest PA. $2.67 for regular last nite. I'll be going out soon and will update. I heard it's going up here another 40 cents over night, we'll see.
It was $2.79 at 'my' KwikFill when I drove past around 5. And, as an aside, gone are the 10cent increments between octane levels. Now $2.79, $2.99 and $3.15.
But a neighbor just stopped by, 7.30pm, to tell us the price is now $3.02 for regular. Yoy.
In Omaha, NE I paid $2.74 at my station; the one across the street was charging $3.19 for same ethenol gas.
