It's based on BSD - *Berkeley* Software Distribution. As in Berkeley, California. You know, *free*BSD? BTW, you are correct about it being an fantastic OS, but don't think for a second it isn't based on a free OS written by communists. Please explain how saving some money can be bad. The money saved is usually spent elsewhere within the business. Startups can begin their business using a lot less money, and become profitable quicker.
