If you're thinking about putting a flood light on the roof of the porch be careful that it doesn't shine into the eyes of anyone opening the front door from inside. ;o)

Is there some reason you didn't want to put it on the ground in front of the porch, shining upwards?

In the ground would be fine. But I don't want a "flood" light. I want the light concentrated on just the wreath.
