I should still have some idea how to do some basic troubleshooting. Nothing I can do about it now. But it frustrates me that it's almost always family who call with impossible questions. It's amazing they aren't all convinced I'm useless as a computer type.

I suppose I should wait at least a day before calling the college. They did say mid-week. But I wish they'd call. Of course, realistically there's more than twice as much of a chance the call won't be positive (they have eleven candidates, will be eliminating eight), but I'm refusing to face facts until if and when I hafta.

I think I found part of the images of Keesler after Katrina. Check it out HERE. Click on the box that is at the western edge of the bay, up in the second row of boxes where the bay narrows before it goes into the larger Back Bay. The image is small, but if you click it, it gets HUGH, and you can move it around. You can go back to the page with the boxes and click on the adjacent one and get more of the view of the base.

A question. My sister wants to set up a wireless connection for dial up. Can you do that? Do they make routers with a phone jack? I'm going to bring her my old external modem to get her started.
