Heh - a thin strip of bamboo is glued to a thin strip of osage wood on a form. A piece of 'cocobolo' an exotic hardwood with a definite reddish color is glued on and then shaped with a rasp into the handle section with an arrow shelf (arrow pass). The combination of which produces a high performance laminated wood bow. Darn near duplicates performance of fiberglass.

I believe G'nad saw some of them at MoJAM. Dryad Bows had a booth there.
