what a relief to have a date!
I've gots dates, two, actually. Just got back from the cataract surgeon, and I've got 'em in both eyes, so they are both coming out!! I've worn glasses since I was in the second grade so I'm having a real hard time wrapping my mind around not putting on my glasses to see the alarm clock. Keeping your tip in mind, 2J. Sleeping sounds really good, let the body heal naturally!!

Two separate surgeries, I take it? Let us know when you go in - we're good at prayin'! ;-)

Sleeping sounds really good, let the body heal naturally!!Great! But you don't have to sleep naturally...let 'em knock you out if they will. I think what they gave me was Chloral Hydrate. I took one before I left the office and passed out in the car on the way home...Dad carried me in the house. Then later on, maybe that evening...my mom brought me another one and I slept the rest of the night. I had something akin to jet lag, I guess...it was very disorienting at first because I just skipped a whole 24 hour period...but when I woke up, I took off my eye patch (which was only needed so I wouldn't rub my eye in my sleep) and could see! I went from 20/2700 to 20/30 in 24 hours. It was fantastic.
