Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Sand and Stone and Pool and Dell...
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
|
|
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
|
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

I'm really leaning skunk, now...the track is definitely not a coon or opossum...too wide, you know?
Could be a dog, hard to tell...

Skunks are a lot smaller than raccoons aren't they? The skunks around here are about the size of a cat. Raccoons can be 20-30 pounds.

Yeah, I think so.
The track is definitely not a coon...coons have tracks that look like feet with long toes...this looks more like a paw.

Mornin'. ~sip~
Made the coffee good and strong this morning.
Though it's not as if much is due to happen. *sigh* I'm still waiting to hear back on the job I interviewed for two weeks ago, which makes me think they ain't interested. I've been calling the staffing agency that referred me so often that they're probably realllllly sick of me, but they haven't been told anything. I'm guessing the company I interviewed for hired candidates from a different staffing place.
Did get my thingie back from the admin test I took at the college. Out of a group of thirty or so, I ranked fourth. Which isn't bad...except that it means I won't be in the first group they bring in for the next opening. Unless, of course, one of the first three calls and says they're out of the running for one reason or another. We shall see.

On the bright side, it's nice and nippy out there. I love the way the air feels this time of year...

Ok...here is the setup...this is what it looked like when I first did it...

And here is the track, and if you look very closely you can see another faint track in the lower left-hand corner (I can see it, 'cause I know what to look for.) You can also tell it's been rained on...

Definitely a were-rabbit.
To: TalonDJ
heh heh!
I dunno what it is...sometimes I think it's a dog, sometimes I think "Naw..."
I do know that *something* is snuffling around back there...
I gotta find a better way to identify it.

My theory was that Puffy is a were-chicken who rips other chickens apart. But the track doesn't go with that.

Could it be a fox? Or are their feet narrower than that?
