New verse:

Hehehe...
Still haven't gotten any training on our new database. I can check samples in and out of locations, but that's about it.
Analysts from another group who are more "involved" with it, don't like it (you have to enter in all your results manually) so I'm keeping a separate Access database for my study. :)
Don't get lost!
1) be self-explanatory and,
2) work!
That's all. I can do the mindless, repetitive, manual upload thing. I just want it to work.
Or Bryson Celeborn Kincaid III and he could have a "thing" for black sheep...
It's not that data entry is mindless and repetetive. It's just that there's too much potential for entry errors whereas now we can import and export to Excel as needed.
My mindless part is just mapping paths to files. Not actual numbers.
*snort*
Just terrible!
Oh....I don't think we'll be required to do that.
You got the fives! Bah!
It's a really ugly gray morning here. Nnngh.
Everyone's gone quiet this morning...
...too quiet...
Them: You need to tell us exactly this and this and this and this and this and this and that and that and that and that and maybe we can fix your problem.
Me: It's not *my* problem. It's *your* database.
Them: << blank stares >>
Can't think of a more capable heroine than a Marine with a double-E!
I was thinking the vet was the heroine - prolly because my vets are both ladies. But that's ok. :)
And I was thinking of my own personal LTC - although not a Marine - is yummylicious in that uniform of his.
So, equine surgeons are the superstars of the vet world?
No, no, he was supposed to go into academia and carry nothing heavier than a briefcase, and touch nothing ickier than caviar and foie gras. Instead, he took his trust fund and got the education he wanted. As his mother has said, "My greatest regret is that I allowed you to read Dr. Dolittle!"
However, he doesn't have a practice ... that's the part I need help with! You have Freepmail!
Awesome! I need to get plotting. I have two excellent characters, two that will be fun, and an idea. I'm going for preposterous suspense, mindless action, and romantic tension (the tension between the two leads probably doesn't get resolved, the secondary characters may or may not end up Happily Ever After)
Competent heroines are the best! No whiny little nuisances for any of us, right?
Awesome snooty name: Lachlan. I ran across it on some reality show recently.
