So why is there a crazed Scotsman at the bottom of Locke's hole?
Least he's gots tunes...and a blender.
Pretty sweet setup.
I think the guy in the hole was the same guy Jack met while running up and down the stadium stairs.
SpoilerWrap(tm) Off!
Evenin' everyone!
Bear, I think you're right. ;-D
Curiouser and curiouser...
Just a busy day here, followed by a busy evening of chores.
I was making some plans for my next trip to NM only to have it hit me: I'm going to be at White Sands on 1 Oct! Wheee what luck! 1 Oct is one of the two dates a year they open the Trinity Site to tourists. I think I'm going to try to go!
Ooo!! Which one are you reading?
Evenin' folkses. [sip]
I may get banned tonight. buttmunches are dissin' my coasties. I'm fixin' ta hit da warpath.

:-)
Uh oh!
The "quarantine" sign was on the inside of the door (they couldn't read it until they blew the door open) soooo that means it was meant for The Occupant to read; a warning for him to not go outside?
The woman Jack was operating on was the woman he eventually married, so the timing of about 5 years before current time is probably good. Don't know who The Occupant is connected with or how he got there or where the equipment came from... but I think he was carrying on an online chat with *someone* (the frowny smiley on the terminal?)
The appearance of Poor Drowned Walt is a classic "strange happening": passerby sees someone strange or unusual trying to get their attention, but when the passerby looks closer no one is there; later, passerby learns the person they thought they saw is actually dead or in distress and couldn't have been present. Another thing about Walt: notice how he tried to talk but could only whisper... like the voices in the forest?
Rose points out, Jack had a similar thing happen to him, seeing his dead father on the island!
...and whoa.
Grrrrr... but I'm pacing myself. :-)
How's things? Come out of Rita in OK shape I presume?
I've spent the last couple of days getting our Houston office relocated to a "virtual" elsewhere. The staff there have now bugged out, and we've shut down the machinery there... got their stuff up and happy in alternate locations. Kinda groovy, really. :-)
Good evenin'.
Gots an interview tomorrow for another job-I'm-not-sure-I'm-even-qualified-for, and I'm fretting mightily over the getting there. It's in Loveland, which is really not far, but it's another city and I'm barely familiar with Fort Collins.
Trying to figure out a route that avoids the hassle of getting on the interstate, since it's not that far and the trickiness of getting on and off without missing an exit is more trouble than the tiny bit of extra speed I *might* be able to get in.
*sigh* I hate driving anywhere that isn't real familiar.
To complicate matters, I have no bank card right now as apparently I dropped mine (I'm always careful to put it back, so this really bugs me) and it's now canceled and I'm awaiting a new one. I'm hoping I won't need to buy anything or get more gas in the next few days. *sigh* I can write checks, I know, but I don't have local ID...so some people may frown on my checks.
And to top it off, I'm comin' down with Jen's Martian Death Flu or whatever-it-is. Got the chills and the beginning of a sore throat.
I'm gonna be reallllllll coherant tomorrow. Not.
</whine>
OK, I'm done for tonight. I promise.
I'm enjoying them - a lot. I'm not ordinarily a lover of mysteries or murder who-done-its. I stumbled into it accidentally. My mom left Visions here in a trade for a paperback I had that she hadn't read yet. I liked it and decided to start the series at the beginning. The grit and the futuristic noir are big plusses for me. The characters are strong. I really like Peabody. On the downside, the endings are a bit cliche and predictable. Roark is completely unbelievable and the sex is overdone.
WooHoo! That is so cool!
I got an ear infection today. Darnit. Gotta fly on monday and I'm *not* looking forward to that. :-)
/whine :-)
That is very very cool!
The detective running the program had two of the local guys come in and 'suit up' in protective gear so the girls could go at them. They set it up that the girls were standing there and the two guys come up and start making comments, etc. Then the detective tells the girls to fight them off. Clare did really well and so did the others! The detective got it on video, and the may have watched them later. Clare had to leave early so she could finish her Physics and Trig homework for tomorrow.
