Someday when I'm rich, maybe we can get cable and actually watch some of these shows like normal people.
Maybe.
I've never had cable before.
In Offensive, Iraqi Forces Show Signs Of Progress
Presentation at the Fourth Rail [interesting analysis]
Put titles in Free Republic search engine and they should pull threads up. Cannot post links due to an "upgrade" in MSN software.
The deuce you say...
Whahappun?
and steel reinforcements...
not much of a stretch...
Washington POST of all people wrote a story showing how the Iraqi forces are showing progress in the latest offensives. Blemont.com has an intresting article explaing what is currently going on in Iraq and what to watch for. We are winning. Always like to point out the good to counteract the relentless "bad" news drum beat of the Dinasour Media. This fairly unpolitical a thread but thought the support the troops people might like to hear some positives.
Heh.
Thanks for that. We do fortunately get to hear some of the good news here, especially from recipients of our knife project. But all good news is appreciated. :-)
I'muh hatin' this third shift...
Happy Birthday, Bilbo and Frodo!
So how's everybody?
Doing OK here...
Goooooooood morning happy campers, hobbitses, and other fine folkses!
Now that's what I call health food.
(Antioxidants and all that good stuff...)
I did look up long enough to note that the "Science Babe" character is brunette with curly hair. And I approve of that. :)
'Morning...
Izzzit Friday yet?
I'm serene busy today. :)
Pretty much the same here...when I get in, that is.
Good morning all!
Hey, OT...I went and got gas on the way to Walmart last night and told Steve to fill up on the way to see Star Wars with Matthew (so he could get some candy to sneak in at the same time, you know.) We both paid $2.49 for it.
Steve said it was $2.59 when he came home from the movie.
I cannot stress this enough. This was a HUGH problem in MS after Katrina, and not just on the Gulf Coast. The storm knocked out power as she moved north, even in Jackson, 4 hours inland!! No power, no ATMs. Also, no power or phones, no credit card transactions, so the need for cash is that much greater. Folks were looking for generators, but couldn't get one without cash because the stores couldn't do credit card transactions. Then, they went to the ATMs and they were down because there was no power!
SirKit's sister handles 'Business Continuity' for a large MS bank, and by Wed., she was able to get some generators to Hattiesburg and the Coast to power up the ATMs that were still operable, so folks could at least access their accounts.
Filling the car with gas, and maybe getting some extra in a can is something that's important, too. If the power goes out, the gas pumps don't run. Folks need gas for their cars, true, but they also need it for their generators! Having a generator doesn't help if you don't have the gas to run it. There were gas trucks that were getting hijacked on their way into MS after Katrina.
Is that a little house wren?
