Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Sand and Stone and Pool and Dell...
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
|
|
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
|
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Eeeek!! They're here already!
To: HairOfTheDog
Yeah, not all forms even had that information filled out. I suppose it's probably OK.
Heh...it's sad, but even for *this*, after so much time being out of work, I was really nervous today. I feel like I spent the day lifting weights...all my muscles ache. Must be because I was tense.

It's good for you to get out and do that work until you find something.... So you don't forget your whole 'work' personality... You know, that person you are when you are at work. ;~D

the net admin guy at my last job liked to occasionally get out a hampster dance MP3 and just BLAST itI used to work with a guy... he had an MP3 of a song used on a Volkswagen commercial; this was a commercial from several years back where a couple were riding in their VW with this song (instrumental only) playing, and they begin to realize that everything is happening in time to the music... windshield wipers going from side to side, direction signals flashing, etc. Anyway, this guy had that music on a loop and played it all day long, over and over and over...
I was very glad that I didn't share an office with him.

Used to be a Volkswagen commercial in Germany that had a song that was mostly kinda techno instrumental, and some guy saying "Da da da" here and there. Horribly catchy.
But the guy that used to do the loop thing where I worked (when I was in the AF) used "Baby Elephant Dance". Over and over. Over and over and over.
I couldn't hum it now, but I think that's because my brain burned those synapses in self-defence.
